Waleed El-Ansary

Waleed El-Ansary is a professor and chair of Islamic studies at Xavier University in Cincinnati. His research centers on the intersection of religion, science, and economics. Courses he teaches include comparative religion, Islamic studies, and religion and science. He is one of the selected authors for the Aladdin Project, a UNESCO-based organization, which has the aim to produce a book titled Know the Religion of Thy Neighbor, featuring writing from scholars specializing in various religions. His Ph.D. in Islamic and religious studies was earned from George Washington University.
