Charles Upton

Charles Upton is a poet and metaphysician whose written works revolve around mysticism and social action. Since 1966, he has written extensively on metaphysics, spiritual lore, peaceful activism, and choosing the path of Islamic Sufism. Some of his major titles include What Poets Used To KnowThe System of Antichrist: Truth and Falsehood in Postmodernism and the New AgeDay and Night on the Sufi Path, and Vectors of the Counter-Initiation: The Course and Destiny of Inverted Spirituality. Born in San Francisco in 1948, he grew up in Marin County, California. He currently lives in Lexington, Kentucky, where he continues to write.
